Adaptation of Bo Diddley’s “Who Do You Love”

Last week my dad read the headline “How AI fakes are turning satellite images into war misinformation” and Bo Diddley’s “Who Do You Love” popped into his head. He told my brother and me if he could, he would re-work the lyrics and change the title to “Who Do You Believe”.

I did so for him.

“Who Do You Believe”

I wrote 47 lines of code

Use the 0’s and 1’s for life

Got a brand new friend in the cloud

Made from those 0’s and 1’s

Got a brand new image on top

Made out of human toil

Now come on, take a little walk with me, AI

And tell me, who do you believe?

Who do you believe?

Who do you believe?

Who do you believe?

Who do you believe?

Got two thumbs and an autistic mind

Just 44 and I don’t mind dyin’

Who do you believe?

Who do you believe?

Who do you believe?

Who do you believe?

I click around the screen, I use a 0 1 whip

Take it easy, cariño, don’t gimme no lip

Who do you believe?

Who do you believe?

Who do you believe?

Who do you believe?

The night was light when the screen was blue

In the pixels, the colors flew

The connection faltered and something shone

You should’ve seen the reach of that drone

Who do you believe?

Who do you believe?

Who do you believe?

Who do you believe?

Talk to me

Who do you believe?

Amor, who do you believe?

Woo!

Dime algo

I’m the baddest tech you’ve ever seen

I’m an autistic man’s wish and a young man’s dream

Mmm, who do you believe?
